Kaikoura Luxury Apartments
Premium apartment accommodation for FIT and small groups alike in the heart of Kaikoura and just a few steps away from the beach and stunning Pacific Ocean. Formerly known as The Waves Apartments, our nine self-contained apartments cater for your clients, whether they be FIT’s or small groups, by offering a comfortable and luxurious stay for their stay in Kaikoura.
All apartments boast private balconies that capture breathtaking views of the Kaikoura and views of the expansive ocean. Guests enjoy the convenience of off-street parking without additional charges.
Each apartment features: heat-pumps/air conditioning, wireless access, 50+ Sky (cable) channels and well-appointed full kitchens which include dishwash drawer, microwave, cook-top and oven. Every apartment has its own washing machine/dryer.
Kaikoura Luxury Apartments has received the highest star grading from Qualmark New Zealand - Five Stars Silver (Apartment Category) as a result of the independent assessment conducted in October 2024.

Some of the apartments offer additional sofa beds – we will provide the linen for guests to make up their own sofa beds.
Clients enjoy personal check-in at the adjacent Kaikoura White Morph, located at 92 Esplanade.

The White Morph
Located in a prime position across the road from the beach, the vast Pacific Ocean and boasting views of the magnificent Kaikoura Seaward mountains, the White Morph offers accommodation for both small groups and FIT guests alike.
The property holds two Qualmark Silver Accommodation licences in the motel category, at both four star plus and five-star levels - all silver. Most of the units have been evaluated at four star plus, but the nine newer Premium rooms have been duly awarded the highest five star level.
The White Morph features 33 units tastefully decorated rooms across various different room types to cater for various guest needs.

The Qualmark five-star rated premium rooms are all beach front facing and are situated on the ground floor and first floor. Light, airy, and spacious. All feature either a balcony or patio, sink into the latest leather recliners, air conditioners/heat pumps, spa baths and well-appointed kitchen (with Nespresso coffee machine).
The White Morph has generous, free off-street parking for guest vehicles. There is space for storing bikes, complete with free power chargers and an outdoor BBQ area. The latest washing machines have just been installed in the guest laundry.
Guests can enjoy a prepared continental breakfast tray provided to their rooms. For guests seeking a cooked breakfast, the White Morph can arrange guest dining at the adjacent Encounters Café (separately owned) with notice.

The Lobster Inn
Introducing the Lobster Inn Motel offering self-contained (include kitchenette) accommodation for your clients to explore Kaikoura.
Very convenient located on SH1 – the main road into Kaikoura from the north and featuring free off-street parking, including coach parking.
There are 24 motel units which were refurbished through 2024 with new beds, heatpumps/AC in all rooms, triple sheeting, modern furniture, some new showers installed, extensive re-painting throughout, and amenities. There is a guest laundry onsite.
Continental breakfast tray provided in-room for guests to make their own breakfast in the mornings. Extra charge applies. Alternatively, breakfast available at Bernies Café from 8am for minimum of 10 pax – set menu.
The Lobster Inn was independently assessed by Qualmark New Zealand in October 2024 and received a Four Star Silver Qualmark Motel category.
